Ferias y Congresos

China dispone de una amplia red de infraestructura ferial y de congresos, cuyo desarrollo se ha extremado en los últimos años, debido a su inminente papel en la economía internacional. En el siguiente documento se presentan los eventos más destacados para el año 2005.

INFRAESTRUCTURA DEL TRANSPORTE (FICHA PAÍS ICEX)

CARRETERAS

La red de carreteras consta de 1.698.000 km, de los que aproximadamente 19.437 km son autopistas y 25.214 km carreteras de primera clase. En 2001 el tráfico en las carreteras fue de 720.700 millones de viajeros-km y 633.000 millones de t-km.
La red viaria se ha expandido de acuerdo a las necesidades de la economía.

FERROCARRILES

La red ferroviaria comprende 70.100 km, concentrados en su mayoría en la parte oriental del país. En 2001 los ferrocarriles transportaron 476.700 millones de viajeros-km y 1.457.500 millones de t-km. Las líneas están congestionadas y sobreexplotadas.

PUERTOS

El mayor puerto es el de Shanghai, responsable del 15% de la carga marítima en 2001. Se están ampliando sus instalaciones. Actualmente se encuentra entre los 7 puertos con más volumen de carga del mundo. Los principales puertos del país, con mención de la región que sirven, son Dalian (noreste), Tianjin y Qingdao (Beijing y norte de China), Shanghai y Ningbo (este) y Guangzhou, Shenzhen y Xiamen (China meridional). En 2002 el tráfico de mercancías realizado por vías navegables fue de 2.648.100 millones de t-km.

AEROPUERTOS

Los principales aeropuertos son: Beijing, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai Pudong, Chengdu, Shenzhen y Xiamen. Las principales líneas aéreas son Air China, China Eastern (Shanghai) y China Southern (Guangzhou).
